Juan C. Mancheno
Juan C. Mancheno was born in 1971, in Queens, New York. Through the digital medium, he represents, typically through landscape and abstract imagery, the most iconic regions of the western continental U.S. He shoots in a modern and contemporary fashion, with an emphasis on providing fresh and unique perspectives. His most treasured areas of focus are along the California Coast, most typically the Big Sur Coastline, and Yosemite Valley National Park and outlying Sierra Nevadas. In his recent work, Mancheno has been experimenting with color in his photographs. However, traditionally, Mancheno prefers to work in the black and white medium, helping the viewer to focus on aspects of the work such as the subject, the textures, shapes and patterns, and the composition.
Having relocated to California in his early years, Juan considers himself a California native. He currently lives in Carmel By The Sea, CA, with his two lovely daughters, and his trusty dog, Rex. When he’s not busy running his local boutique real estate firm, Carmel By The Sea Realty, Juan finds time to escape down the coast, to be inspired by it’s ever changing landscape, and continue furthering his portfolio of artwork.
