MIRROR LAKE:
REWIND AND REFLECT
On this particular day, Mirror Lake, which is a hidden gem on Tenaya Creek in the valley, perfectly reflected whatever was is in its sight. Having started this hike along the creek before sunrise and getting to this point at the right time was a blessing in disguise. Not exactly sure of what I would come across, I knew that I came upon the lake at just the right moment. Making my way across the slippery rocks, and tredging on the downward side of the miniature falls just below, the water ebbed and flowed just a touch above the fallen granite remnants of the towering precipices above, creating a silver finish on the rocks, resulting in extraordinary sheen and contrast to the foreground.
